The best thing about this story is that tragic and yet powerful martial arts atmosphere. Ning Jing's portrayal of Wang Xuemei is incredible; she can express how a soul is tempered by hate. She doesn't need to do anything dramatic; it's her look and a touch of the zither that can make a feeling of overwhelming pressure. Compared to other versions, this one is much more delicate in handling the emotions. Nicky Wu is so calm and Chen Haomin is so lively that they support the story. The way sound is presented as blades is creative and impactful, creating the atmosphere of tension and suspense. Every string plucked on the zither is like a beat on your heart. This isn’t just a story about revenge; it's also about humanity's greed and redemption.
