The most appealing aspect of this work is that it accurately incorporates the grand narrative of the war into the breath of each vivid individual. The addition of Qiu Shuzhen further adds a layer of toughness to this hardcore war drama. The character she plays is not a flower in a greenhouse, but a battle rose blooming in the thorns.
