This film reminds me of a secret you can't help but want to open. The contrast is what is engaging to me. It's a classic school mystery. Jun Amaki's presence is key to drawing in the audience; she plays the role of the girl fighting for justice with a youthful charm. It's a nice combination. I'd need to discuss the director's skillful use of the setting. The corridors, the closed doors, the tense atmosphere. It's all there for the viewer to soak in, building to the mystery. This story moves beyond the standard approach, it's more grounded. It really is worth a watch for anyone interested in this kind of school-life mystery, or fan service, from Japan. It should be a truly engaging film.
