300,000 HKD. What can you get for that kind of money? For these four graduating university students, it's not seed money for a startup, but the ticket to their dream – they plan to hire a popular Japanese AV actress under the pretense of making a movie, with the long-planned "rules of the game" as the ultimate goal. These young people are at a crossroads in their lives, with the soon-to-come harsh reality of society on one side and a reckless youth yet to be squandered on the other. When they hear that a senior student was expelled for a "filming scam," they are not only not scared, but an epiphany strikes: if they make this bigger and more professional, could they pull the wool over everyone's eyes? Thus, a ridiculous scam under the banner of a "Youth Self-Employment Program" begins. To raise money, they write business plans in a serious manner, scam government loans, and even sell the position of a photography assistant. They rent an expensive villa, set up professional equipment, and even manage to invite the long-dreamed-of Manami Amamiya. When everything is ready and the camera starts rolling, the lie, originally meant only to satisfy private desires, becomes incredibly real in this moment. In this ridiculous play of fake and real, are they making a movie, or are they being rehearsed by life?

Director Pang Ho-cheung always manages to film the basest thoughts with the freshest texture. This is definitely a youth masterpiece that is undeserved by its title. On the surface, it is about the hormonal impulses of young men, but in reality, it is a sharp knife thrust into the adult world. Those lines filled with ideals and art, in the face of real interests and desires, seem both comical and sad. The most ingenious part of the film is that sense of absurd "serious nonsense". Watching these four big boys burst out with unprecedented execution and creativity for a lewd goal, you might even feel a strange sense of emotion. That is the kind of courage only found at that age, the kind of courage to devote everything to something meaningless. Although the film is filled with dirty jokes and Hong Kong-style street talk, the undertone is extremely cold and desolate. When the boundary between dreams and reality becomes blurred, you will find that the most cruel thing is not that they failed to realize their wishes, but that when they really get close to that goal, they realize that the world is no longer what they imagined it to be. This is an adult fairy tale made for all those who refuse to grow up. After watching it, you might suddenly remember yourself 【电影介绍】 三十万港币,能买到什么?
