密战2017

剧情简介

The opening, I'm thinking, should be the key to drawing people in. It's the sound of the telegraph, the "didi-da" that's the heartbeat of the resistance. It sets the stage for a city under occupation, a city full of danger. I need to focus on this idea, the visual metaphor of the sound. The story will begin with Lin Xiang, a cold, precise operator, a human machine who is sent to Shanghai with a vital mission. Then, we introduce Lan Fang, a seamstress who's thrust into playing his "wife." The tension won't just be from the enemies outside, but from the forced intimacy and the growing trust between these two. The Japanese are always in the background, a predatory force. The idea of the "fake marriage" is a classic trope, but this time it's elevated by the stakes, it's life or death. The sound of the Morse code, as it travels through the air, has to be the lifeline of the resistance. The film has to contrast the glamour of Shanghai with the deadly shadows. The challenge is in the visual style. I like the noir-ish feel. I need to keep in mind, too, the contrast between the glamorous side of Shanghai and the danger that lurks in the shadows. We're showing a city filled with spies, and intrigue and suspense.

What really has to come through is the performance, the atmosphere, the invisible war going on. I need to emphasize the feeling of walking on thin ice. It's about the tension, the suspense, and the performances. Aaron Kwok brings a very mature and steady energy to Lin Xiang. And Zhao Liying’s transformation… that’s the emotional core of the film. I'm thinking about the characters, and Zhao Liying's journey from a simple girl to a brave agent is key. I'll need to remember Zhang Han’s character, the moral ambiguity of his role – is he a traitor or a survivor? And the ticking clock of the signal detection has to be in there. The goal is to highlight the feeling of walking on thin ice, of danger. A single misstep can mean death. The challenge is capturing that "walking on thin ice" feeling. This film, at its heart, is a spy thriller, and a good one, at that.
