** The dim interrogation room flickers, two similar faces clash across the iron bars. One is a decorated narcotics officer, the other is a black society insider mired in darkness. These brothers, one standing tall in the light and the other lurking in the abyss, both have their names on the black and white death lists. Bosco Wong plays the younger brother, Jiancheng, a sharpened blade struggling within a drug trafficking group, every day is like dancing on a knife's edge. Michael Tse's older brother, Jianzhong, is the heavy hammer hanging over the heads of the criminals, so upright he is almost cold. When a seemingly ordinary drug dealer transport turns into a bloody purgatory, all pretenses are torn apart. The brothers meet again in a street fight. Raising the gun one inch is about kinship, pulling the trigger is about duty. As the conspiracy of the big drug lord behind the scenes surfaces, the identity of the undercover becomes difficult to distinguish, and the rift within the police force begins to spread. Who is the real traitor? In the game called "Endless," is blood the last lifeline, or a deadly weakness? **

** If you miss that golden era of Hong Kong films with flashing neon lights and roaring gunfire, this movie will instantly make you feel that adrenaline rush. It's not just a police and gangster action film, it's more like a game about fate. The biggest surprise is the confrontation between Bosco Wong and Michael Tse. This has ignited the DNA of Hong Kong drama fans. Bosco Wong shows the feeling of being repeatedly crushed by life and forcibly pieced together. When Michael Tse stands there, that aura of being both righteous and evil is still as stable as a mountain. The eye contact between the two is more powerful than the intensive gunfight scenes. The struggle between wanting to get close and having to push away is perfectly handled by them. Director Mak Ho-pong knows how to arouse the audience's emotions, and the action scenes are powerful and clean. Especially the Cantonese version, that authentic sense of the underworld and the wit in the lines have improved the texture of the whole film a lot. Although we have seen the undercover theme many times, this movie wins with the high concentration of emotions. It places the brotherhood on the extreme balance of good and evil, and tests human nature every second. This is a sincere work that will make you sigh in the aftertaste of the distance of the Jianghu (underworld) and the difficulty of keeping your original intentions after watching it.
