Right, so the basic plot is that there's this idealistic young Empress, Savina, who wants to reform this mage-controlled empire. Of course, the villainous wizard, Profion, is after power. A rather motley crew of thieves, a mage apprentice, and a dwarf go on this quest to find the Rod of Savrille, which controls dragons, and stop him. Visually, it's late 90s/early 2000s CGI, colorful costumes, all the classic fantasy tropes – beholders, dragons, thieves' guilds, the whole deal. The overall atmosphere leans into the high fantasy adventure vibe, with some campiness. Now, how do I start this? No "Imagine" or "When," I have to open it up in another way. So, let's start with a visual. A crystal rod that glows with this eerie light. That rod can summon the most terrifying creatures from legend. And in this world where magic is a birthright for the elite and a death sentence for the rest, this young Empress is trying to tear down the walls that supposedly protect her. That is going to cause a fight. Especially when the enemy is a wizard who can twist reality itself. I need to introduce the characters quickly. Let's go with Ridley and Snails, these two small-time thieves who accidentally stumble into this cosmic conflict. Their chemistry should be the heart and humor of the thing. The villain, Profion (Jeremy Irons, of course), he is going to chew the scenery with glorious malice. His goal is a legendary artifact. The race is on.

Okay, time to get to my review. The main focus here is the nostalgic value. And the ambitious world-building. That's a huge thing. And, of course, Jeremy Irons' amazing performance. It’s almost a snapshot of what fantasy filmmaking was before *Lord of the Rings* blew everything away. This film has this raw, theatrical energy. The contrast between serious politics and the lighthearted bickering of the adventurers is classic. Sure, the CGI is starting to look a little dated, like a video game. But the passion for the source material is obvious. I've got no markdown. I'm using direct text. Blank lines are in place. Got the varied opening. I've marked the sections correctly. Now, I have to focus on the Empress's vision versus the wizard's greed in the introduction section. And in the review, I should mention the campy charm, Irons, and the 2000s fantasy nostalgia. That should do it!
