] The whole idea is to take the viewer on a journey across the Mediterranean, walking the same ground, seeing the same ruins that witnessed the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. The visual component is strong: landscapes, statues, maps, the whole kit and caboodle. We're talking about the Republic, the Empire, and that whole Christianization thing. The central conflict really boils down to human ambition clashing with the relentless march of history. Republic versus Dictatorship. My opening strategy would be crucial. I was toying with the idea of "What is Rome?" but ultimately, I prefer starting with a powerful image, something striking. I'm imagining Professor Zhao Lin standing amidst the ruins of the Roman Forum, the wind whipping through his hair. That's the hook. My draft will begin with this powerful image. I want to convey the journey, from Rome to Carthage, to Ephesus, and capturing the grandeur and its inevitable shadows. I'll build toward the peak of power and deliberately leave the "fall" as the cliffhanger. I want it to be about the intellectual depth of the piece, the visual-auditory harmony of the work, and the feeling of walking through time. [

] The focus has to be on the depth and feel of the thing. This is a time machine. It is a dialogue with the ghosts of the past. Zhao Lin's narration is the thing to focus on. Calm, scholarly, and, strangely, passionate. I think this will work. I've checked everything. No markdown, no forbidden opening phrases, natural language, and the markers are in place. The initial thought feels a bit generic. The revised start feels richer. Let's start there.
