The stage is set in a decaying hotel, a seemingly silent labyrinth. There's not only a supernatural entity lurking in the shadows, but something far more dangerous: they are not the only ones on this treasure hunt. Another rival group also has their eyes on a legendary hidden treasure. As human greed clashes with an unknown fear within this confined space, the hotel's doors slam shut, transforming it into a deadly hunting ground from which nobody can escape. As a non-human growl echoes through the walls, everyone must fight for survival in this game of cat and mouse. Who will be the final predator? You won't know until the very end.

What truly captivated me about this film wasn't just the visual scares, but how skillfully it built up that multi-layered tension. Many films of this genre are so focused on scaring the audience that they neglect the conflicts between the characters, but this one elevates the complexities of human nature to the max. When the greedy treasure hunters are forced to face forces beyond the natural world, their selfishness and calculated efforts to survive are more chilling than any ghost. The scene direction is exceptional; that claustrophobic atmosphere is so tangible that you'll feel the air behind you become heavy while you're sitting on your couch. Director Mark Klasfeld knows how to play with light and shadow. Many of the terrifying moments aren't cheap jump scares, but they gradually break down your defenses through the movement of shadows and the pressure of the environment. If you like thrillers that mix in some puzzle-solving elements and keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time, then this movie is definitely worth turning off the lights and diving in this weekend with a sense of curiosity.
